Flint's long history, including its strong role in the automotive industry as the early location for Buick, is covered at the Sloan Museum. Its wide selection of exhibits and areas include a Science Discovery Center for children and the Hometown Gallery, which demonstrates regional life in the 1800s. The museum is part of the Flint Cultural Center, located across the street from the Flint Institute of Arts and beside the Flint Institute of Music.
